Crawler information for website operators. If you found this page from a log entry or a firewall alert, everything you need is below.
In one line: DealerAIReportBotreads publicly available pages on a dealership website at the dealership’s request, so the dealership’s own verified facts page stays current and its staff can see how AI answer engines describe them. It is not an AI training crawler, and nothing it reads is used to train a model.
DealerAIReportBot/1.0 (+https://dealeraireport.com/bot)
Until mid-November 2026 the same crawler may also appear as Lumon8Bot in older allow lists; a rule for either name is honoured.
Dealer AI Report is a data service operated by Lumon8 LLC. A dealership, or the marketing agency working for it, signs up and asks for its public website to be read so its facts page can be verified and its AI visibility measured. The crawler only visits a site when its dealership has asked for that, or when someone runs a free audit on a site they operate. It does not crawl the open web.
/robots.txt, and /llms.txt if present. No personal data. No names, email addresses, phone numbers, form contents, or customer records. It reads the same pages any visitor can load without signing in.
robots.txt, including a rule addressed specifically to DealerAIReportBot.If a dealership you host signed up and its checks are failing, the crawler is most likely being refused by a firewall or bot filter rather than by robots.txt. Allowing the user-agent string above is usually all that is needed.
User-agent: DealerAIReportBot Allow: /
Add this to robots.txt and it stops. No appeal, no follow-up, no need to contact anyone.
User-agent: DealerAIReportBot Disallow: /
Blocking it means the dealership’s facts page goes stale and its AI visibility reporting stops, so it is worth checking with them first. The choice is yours either way.
Email data@dealeraireport.com with the log lines and we will tell you which dealership asked for the request. About this service.
